TGIF! It's time for a little Unity Friends with Flair. Well the weather is starting to feel like fall out there so why not kick it up a notch and start on Christmas! This week I played along with the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge. The challenge is to use non-traditional Christmas colors.
Here is another "vintage" card I made for this month's challenge:
Tim Holtz papers always seem to work well for the vintage look I think and distress of course. I used punchanella (you know the scraps from sequins) and distress inks on the paper to create the dots. The sentiment is a Tim Holtz one from the set called Phrases2. The metal brad in the lower left is from Stampin Up as is the base color of Cherry Cobbler. The twine I had in my stash. I also used my distressed tool along the edges of the paper.
I started with Stampin Up cardstock in Tangerine Tango and used some fun Halloween paper by Me and My Big Ideas. The images are digis from Digi Digi Doodle. The butterfly is called Whimsey Butterfly and the sentiment is called Boo Bag Poem and Images. The ribbon is in my stash from Michael's. I "distressed" the edges for a rough look.
I thought it would be fun to color the butterfly in Halloween colors and use him along with the great sentiment!
